Frequently asked questions
Does it replace my website?
If you want it to: every dealership gets a hosted inventory site (your-name.truckdms.com) and, on Pro, your own domain. You can also keep your site and use only the management side.
Are the taxes right for heavy trucks in Quebec?
Yes. On a vehicle of 4,000 kg and up, the dealer collects QST (not the SAAQ). The software applies GST + QST, handles out-of-province sales (GST only or HST) and zero-rated exports, line by line.
How does the e-signature work?
The customer gets a link by email and signs on a phone or a computer. The signed contract includes a certificate (name, email, IP address, date and time, SHA-256 fingerprint of the contract), each step is logged (sent, opened, signed) and a copy goes to both parties. In Quebec, an English contract always comes with its French version (Charter of the French language). E-signature is for the sale contract, not for registration or title forms, powers of attorney, promissory notes or security agreements.
Can I import my data?
Yes: CSV import for inventory and customers (templates provided), and a full export of your data at any time. On the Group plan we do the import with you.
Where is my data hosted?
Database and files in Supabase's Canada (Montréal) region. The application runs in the Montréal region of Vercel (a US company), whose global network routes the traffic. Three other US companies process part of the data: Resend (email, data stored in the United States), Anthropic (AI features, processing may happen in any region, data stored in the United States) and Stripe (payments, data transferred to the United States). How many users?
3 on Essential, unlimited on Pro and Group. Each user has a role and their own login.
What if I cancel?
Cancel in one click under Billing. Your data stays exportable and access continues until the end of the paid period.
